These files will help you learn to copy CW in your head
Learn to recognize the sound of letter groups in addition to single characters.

These are 97 of the most common groups of 1-4 characters
Each .qcb file contain 30 words with specific letter groups

Incident of word groups from a list of 3000 common words:

Go to: "Setup/Morse Character Setup/Define", and make "=" to be "-...-"

'e' may be the most common letter, but the 's group' seems to be the most common combination of letters in words

Problems with Windows 10
QRQ.EXE flashes and the black window goes away failing to open.

Uninstall the program or delete it.
Reinstall in C:\QRQ.EXE, not in C:\Program Files (x86)\QRQ.EXE
Rebooting sometimes helps - You may need to repeat this occasionally.

How to convert .qcb files to .txt or .txt. to qcb files?
.qcb files are the same as .txt files. Just change the extension.
Copy the .qcb files to the same folder where QRQ.EXE is located.
You can edit any .qcb file by opening in Notepad and 'Saving As...' a .qcb file after the changes.

Some notes about using QRQ.EXE
Double click on the QRQ icon on the desktop - Press ENTER
Press F5 - "Configuration " will open.

These are my settings:
Initial Speed - Use the UP/DOWN arrow to change to 30 or 40 wpm
Allow unlimited F6 - Press F to 'yes'
Unlimited attempts - Press u to 'yes'
Callsign databases - Press d to got to "Change Callsign Database" window
-- Press the DOWN arrow to go the .qcb file you want, then press ENTER.
-- Press F2 to save the configuration.

Press F10 - Ignore the "Usage" at this time, text, it applies to a different setting
Press ENTER - you hear the first word at 30 wpm
Press F6 to repeat as many times you want the same word.
You can use 'Page Up/Down' to change the speed at any time.
You can type the word but I prefer to press ENTER
It displays the word you just heard and you hear the next word.
Press F7 as may times as you want to hear again the previous word which is now displayed.
Press F6 to hear again the next word.
Repeat with all the other words.
At the end, press ENTER and then F5 to go to 'Configuration' again.
Press 'd' and select a new .qcb file to practice.

Do not type or write anything, just use your mind to learn the CW words
